Jason Rich Rich experimented with style and subject matter during college, but he continued to show a heavy emphasis on horses and Western themes. Rich states, "I want to branch out more in my subject matter, travel more, and do more painting on location. I'm not restricted in the way I paint or the subject matter. I just want to be as good as I can be; well-rounded." He won the 1997 Arts for the Parks "Top 100" Show Grand Prize and he was the recipient of the 1998 C.M. Russell Auction Ralph "Tuffy" Berg award.
